Penny is in charge of the women's work. She counsels the women and has a women's meeting every Tuesday afternoon. The ladies spend 90 minutes studying the Bible and 90 minutes doing handcrafts or fixing up the church building.

Penny is in charge of the social life of the church. She plans the special days, Mother's Day tea, Father's Day special, retreats, Christmas Walkthrough and Easter presentations.

Four people from the Faith Baptist Church in Lebanon, PA, came to help us set up for our Christmas Walk-through. We had 110 people attend, which is far short of what we were expecting. Next year we will do it again and do more advertising.

Last year we had a choir singing for our live nativity scene. "Soldiers of the Cross" was the theme for the Mother's Day tea. Many ladies who would never come to our church have been introduced to Christ through activities like these. Penny's retreat for the ladies included five churches. Forty-five ladies were present, 25 coming from our church. Susan Payne from Peoria ILL, was the guest speaker. The theme was "How Great Thou Art" and the ladies were very responsive. One mother said, "This retreat was just what I needed to weed out all the bitterness I had been guarding in my heart."
