Church # 4
In January 2001 we began services in
our living room. We have seen a great many people from the
surrounding neighborhood come to Christ. Property has been
purchased close to downtown but we are lacked the funds to
construct a building. We had our nursery in one of the
upstairs bedrooms, juniors met in the laundry room,
primaries met in the game room, teens in my study and the
new convert’s class met in another bedroom.
We had about 70 attending services in our home. The capacity
is 90, so we were close to the limit. This church has been
different than the other 3 in that we have thirteen men
attending regularly. |

In June, 2004 we began renting a factory and started a
remodeling job. Many churches and individuals helped fund it
while our members did the work. In October we started
services. Five families immediately joined our congregation.
We had our inauguration service on Jan 22, 2005 with 200
attending, of which 70 were our neighbors and friends. We
are training teachers and assistants.
In 2006 we sold three lots downtown and with the help of a stateside loan,
we purchased the building and grounds. It has 4,500 sq. ft.
under roof and 9,000 sq. ft. of off-street parking. |
