Dan grew up on a fruit farm (cherries & apples) in Northern Michigan.  He studied Biomechanical Engineering at Michigan Technological University, International Relations at Michigan State University, and pastoring at Asbury Theological Seminary.  Dan and Pada have been married for almost 12 years.  He's been been an assistant pastor for 13 years (the last 10 at Mt. Zion Church in Dayton, OH).  Dan accepted Jesus at age 13.  He loves technology, reading, music, travel, seeing new things, eating new foods, and meeting new people.

Pada  was born in Bangkok, Thailand. She grew up as a Buddhist. Her parents had come to Thailand for a visit from China, but were unable to return because of the communist takeover. At the age of 15, Pada's best friend became a Christian. She noticed the change in her friend's life and began attending church with her. For the first time in her life, Pada heard that God was love. At 16, she responded to an invitation to accept Jesus, and He poured His love into her heart. When her family found out about her commitment to Jesus, they were furious. They beat her, locked her in her room, and tried every way they could to convince her to return to Buddhism. Her best friend took her aside every day after school to teach her how to pray and study the Bible and sing. Because of that faithfulness, Pada was able to maintain her faith. She grew in her faith and became a leader in the Maung Thai Church. She earned a B.B.A. in 1986 from Assumption University in Bangkok. She was then able to come to the USA and earn an M.Div. in 1991 from Asbury Theology Seminary. Dan and Pada were married in Bangkok in July 1991.  Pada enjoys reading, listening to music (she also likes a wide range), sewing, and meeting people.
