Hello Everyone!
Thank you so much for all of your prayers over the past month.
The Introduction to Theology class went well. I was able to get a better understanding of some Biblical teachings from this class. For example, one topic we learned about was entire sanctification. As it was explained in the class, when a person reaches the point of entire sanctifications this means that the person’s natural tendency has changed. Rather than naturally tending toward sin and having to fight this, the person naturally tends toward doing things as God would want. This is the simplest way I have ever heard this explained and I feel like I now understand what this term means. The class also gave me a chance to interact on a daily basis with some of the Bible College students. This was a wonderful chance to get to know them better. This past Friday I was able to have three of the women who are studying at the Bible College over for supper and an evening of fellowship.
My visits to the half way house have also been going well. The children really seem to enjoy doing crafts. This past month there were two crafts that seemed to be especially well liked. One week we made picture frames using puzzle pieces to decorate them. Another week we made crowns out of paper plates and decorated them with feathers, beads, and stickers. Please continue to keep these children in your prayers as this can be a very stressful and unsettled time in their lives. Please pray that my visits are a positive experience for them. Also, some weeks as I am preparing to go to the half-way house, I have a hard time finding a craft idea that would be fun and simple to do with the children. If any of you do crafts with children or know of some good craft ideas I would love to hear them.
In July a team is coming from Central Wesleyan Church in Holland, MI to help put on our first ever family camp here in Russia. Since this is something new for the church here a lot of the people don’t really know what to expect and at this point not many people have signed up to attend. Please pray that the people here will be able to see the benefit of attending a camp like this and have a desire to come.
I would love to know how I can be praying for you as well. If you have any questions or would like to get in contact with me, you can e-mail me at mandycmoran@aol.com.
Thank you again for your prayers.
