Thank you so much for all of your prayers. Over the past month, I have continued going to the half-way house and participating in various church groups. All of these things are going well.
Last month, we had a team here from Heritage Wesleyan Church in Rock Island, IL. They were able to take care of some much needed renovations to the sanctuary and foyer area. These improvements were such a blessing to the church and we have been very grateful for there help with this.
Over the past few weeks, I have also had a couple of opportunities to get together with one of the Russian women from church. She is a student at the University and at the Bible College. One of the times we went for a walk and shopping together. Getting together to go for a walk, is a common thing for people to do here in Russia. Another time, I was able to go to her home. I have really enjoyed being able to get to know her better. Please pray for me as I continue to work on building relationships with the people here.
Several times throughout the year the Bible College here has two week intensive courses for its students. Dr. Steve Lennox, an IWU professor, is currently here teaching Introduction to Theology as an intensive class which began May 21st and will go until the 31st. I am have been given the opportunity to take this class. Please pray that I am able to learn a lot from this class.
Also, please continue to pray for my language learning. I am continuing to work with language tutors and am making progress with the language. However, learning a new language is a long process and the language barrier is sometimes frustrating.
